SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE (FULL-TIME/REMOTE & HYBRID)

Salary + Benefits:

  • $70,000 to $110,000 base compensation (DOE), plus bonus 
  • Overtime and sick pay

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Masters in Taxation a plus)
  • 3+ years experience with income tax/ Real estate and multi-state tax returns a plus
  • CPA or EA certification a plus
  • Experience preparing Schedule E, Form 8825, and depreciation calculations
  • QuickBooks, Lacerte, Microsoft Office, and CCH Research experience a plus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, organize, and accurately prepare and/or review Federal and state tax returns for high net-worth individuals, real estate investors, and closely held businesses (i.e., corporate, partnership, and LLC)
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather tax information.
  • Review staff member work papers and provide feedback to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Mentor and train associates to develop technical and professional skills
  • Prepare and review estimated tax/extension calculations for various entities and individual clients
  • Research tax issues and draft technical correspondence, including communication with the IRS and other taxing authorities
  • Review of client Quickbooks and financial statements; prepare and review adjusting journal entries
